Carbon & Climate Markets Pole

Climate strategic advisory, auditable by design

We advise project sponsors, investors and public administrations on voluntary carbon markets (Verra VCS, Gold Standard) and compliance carbon markets (Article 6 of the Paris Agreement), within a formalised framework of editorial independence.

Positioning

The Carbon & Climate Markets Pole of DOUZEROCINQ CONSEILS acts as a strategic advisor — never as a project sponsor nor as a verifier. This separation is structuring: the trust of institutional donors and standard‑setters relies on the documented independence of the advisor from the operator.

Three client families

Project sponsors

Forestry concessionaires, industrial operators, agricultural cooperatives. Framing, methodology selection, eligibility trajectory, BNES governance (Biodiversity, Nature, Environment, Social) and ICVCM CCP alignment.

Investors & off‑takers

Critical project review, credit integrity scoring, supplier due‑diligence, P&L modelling with sensitivities on carbon price and reduction rates.

Administrations & donors

Jurisdictional programme design, REDD+ institutional frameworks, Article 6 interface, Technical Assistance engagements.

Methodologies covered

  • Verra VCS — VM0048 (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation). Supersedes VM0007 since 2023. Mandatory jurisdictional approach.
  • ART‑TREES — The REDD+ Environmental Excellence Standard — used by the LEAF Coalition and several jurisdictions (Costa Rica, Ghana, Guyana).
  • ICVCM Core Carbon Principles — 10 high‑integrity principles applicable to voluntary market credits.
  • Article 6 of the Paris Agreement — mechanisms 6.2 (bilateral cooperation) and 6.4 (centralised mechanism, successor to the CDM).
  • Gold Standard, Plan Vivo, Climate Action Reserve — comparative analysis, strengths and limitations.

Editorial independence — DZC‑PROT‑001 protocol

The Manager of DOUZEROCINQ CONSEILS also serves as manager of the KEYSAFE AFRICA group, whose KEYSAFE CARBON vertical (Cameroon, CVEPB N°0451, Lot 10 Yoko/Mbam and Kim, ~2,200 ha) operationally carries a Verra VCS project currently under design. To pre‑empt any conflict of interests:

  1. Strict separation of roles: strategic advisory is provided exclusively by DOUZEROCINQ CONSEILS; operations are carried exclusively by KEYSAFE CARBON.
  2. Independent attestor: an OHADA/CCJA firm based in Abidjan holds the original protocol and, on request, attests to its effective application.
  3. Systematic disclosure in every deliverable, commercial proposal and public document (present banner).
  4. Right of recusal: the client may at any time request substitution of the Managing Partner; an orderly handover protocol is in place.
